Pedictably, Maggie’s been banned, but surprisingly it’s only for 2 games which he’ll probably be injured for anyway. Most were expecting a 3 match ban, but in a way he’s done well out of it.
Funny thing is though, Brian Deane and Matt Elliott only got 1 match bans for their John Fashanu impressions, but Maggie gets two. We would like to believe that the FA are increasing elbow punishments for the good of the game – however, the FA are corrupt, and what’s the betting that the next non-WFC player caught with his arm up only gets a 1 match ban?
