Right, no more about Fulham – honest. Drillo’s search for a new striker continues. Following the transformation from deity to dunce of Carl Leaburn following the Fulham debacle (oops), we are looking at either James Beattie (Southampton 18th choice striker) or one Jostein Flo, ex-Sheff Utd player, who was about 9 foot 7 inches tall and used to play well against our defenders. We’ve supposedly put a £1m bid for Beattie, rejected we’re told, but what’s the betting our new striker will be one who’s not adverse to wearing kagools……
Ceri Hughes is off – Pompey is his destination. We think. The move has been postponed until Pompey’s new manager is appointed. For Ceri’s sake, we hope it’s not JK, because Ceri wants to move so he can actually get a game….
We have a new fan – one Svein Bakke, the man who SH hates. Yes, Erik’s dad has reportedly become a big fan of the club, which means he’ll probably stick around a bit more (which rather goes against what SH reckoned). We can now start drawing up our own conspiracy theories about power struggles – so, here’s one off the top of my head : KIR has told Svein to become a WFC fan, so he can get more embedded in with WFC, thereby changing the powerbase and eventually empowering KIR to overthrow SH in an obvious move of stealth. What do you mean that’s what I want to happen?
